As of May 8th, 2023, COVID-19 was reclassified as a Category V Infectious Disease under the Infectious Diseases Control Law.
In line with this, Japan's Basic Response Policies, and Kagawa Prefecture's response policies have been abolished.
From May 8th, basic infection control measures will not be laid out by the national and local governments. Instead, these measures will be left to the individual to decide for themselves.
If you experience cold-like symptoms such as fever, please call your family doctor, or a local health care center for advice.
If you are unsure who to contact, please reach out to the Kagawa Prefecture Coronavirus Call Center for advice.
